Noise Power Spectral Density Estimation on Highly Correlated Data
In this contribution the Minimum Statistics noise power spectral density estimator [1] is revised for the particular case of highly correlated data which is observed for example when framewise processing with considerable frame overlap is performed. For this special case the noise power estimator tends to underestimate the noise power. We identify the variance estimator in the Minimum Statistic...
متن کاملMonotone spectral density estimation
We propose two estimators of a unimodal or monotone spectral density, that are based on the periodogram. These are the isotonic regression of the periodogram and the isotonic regression of the log-periodogram. We derive pointwise limit distribution results for the proposed estimators for short memory linear processes and long memory Gaussian processes and also that the estimators are rate optimal.
متن کاملSpectral Correction Method Based on Improved Flat-top Convoluted Window for Parameter Estimation of Power Harmonic
Original scientific paper Accurate estimation of harmonic parameter is an important task in signal processing of power system. A new class of flat-top windows is proposed, which is generated by self-convolutions of the fast-decaying minimum-sidelobe flat-top (FDMS-FT) window in the time-domain. The mainlobe and sidelobe features of the new window are studied. In addition, to improve the flatnes...
متن کاملLeast Squares Multi-Window Evolutionary Spectral Estimation
We present a multi–window method for obtaining the time-frequency spectrum of of nonstationary signals such as speech and music. This method is based on optimal combination of evolutionary spectra that are calculated by using multi–window Gabor expansion. The optimal weights are obtained by using a least square estimation method. An error criterion that is the squared distance between a referen...
متن کاملAdaptive two-band spectral subtraction with multi-window spectral estimation
An improved spectral subtraction algorithm for enhancing speech corrupted by additive wideband noise is described. The artifactual noise introduced by spectral subtraction that is perceived as musical noise is 7 dB less than that introduced by the classical spectral subtraction algorithm of Berouti et al. Speech is decomposed into voiced and unvoiced sections. Since voiced speech is primarily s...
